Hi Stacey,  welcome to Pitch, Please!  For those who don’t know you, tell the folks who you are and what you are promoting?  I am a producer/director in Los Angeles.  I do two things – I make brand films for media corporations and I make strategic marketing plans and videos for small to medium sized businesses.

What is your background/ How did you get into this industry?  Both industries intertwine – I started as a college intern for one of Steven Spielberg’s producers in New York.  That led to many cool PA jobs after graduation and I grew fast at MTV up to being a producer there.  I then moved to LA for film/tv but saw a lot of opportunity in the digital space so I jumped into it and found a lot of cool work at companies like BuzzFeed, Viacom and Studio71.

How and why did you start this company?  During the pandemic, when productions shut down, there were still many companies that needed my skill set – which was producing and sharing their brand messaging digitally.  I gave out content strategies to companies for free, without expecting anything in return.  That karma came back and brands started calling me to produce the content and I formed a remote content studio with freelancers around the country to help with remote shoots and editing.

What moment made you realize this idea was going to be a success?  When the clients called back for second seasons on their YouTube channels!

What were your fears and how did you overcome them?  I’m always scared.  Even after a successful shoot and production, I still get nervous that the client will hate it, even though that’s never happened.  I read somewhere that the better you are at something, the bigger that fear is.  That Tom Hanks still goes to set thinking he’s a terrible actor, why did they hire him?  That makes me feel better haha

Was the process hard or easy?  It’s a challenge.  When it gets easy, I find a new challenge or a new package to sell.

Best thing about what you do?  Serve my community.  A lot of smaller businesses were hurting during the pandemic and I was happy to share my knowledge freely.  Today, it’s so rewarding to hear clients say they got an increase in sales or invited to speaking engagements because they were found online.

What impact do you hope your product will have on people’s lives?  I want everyone to thrive.  In today’s world, your personal brand is your most valuable asset – whether on social media, at events, or through your website – your brand speaks before you enter a room.  My goal is to tell your story in a compelling authentic way that connects with your audience and sets you apart.  My program is designed to help you make a lasting impression and transform your brand into a powerful tool for success in a digital-first world.

Do you have any take-aways or anything fun you want to share? No matter if you have a big or small company, your brand needs to be nurtured consistently across platforms, not only during campaigns or launches.  Storytelling is your greatest asset – share your journey, your values, your why.  It’s about creating a brand legacy that continues to grow and evolve.
